About the workshop

This new series of sessions developed and presented by physician Dr Ernst Schrott, Director of the German Ayurveda Academy, guides you through the different areas of Maharishi AyurVeda and how to apply practical techniques of Maharishi AyurVeda in your daily life. 

Maharishi AyurVeda has all the knowledge for a healthy lifestyle and this knowledge is deeply familiar to everyone. This workshop is intended to convey and deepen this knowledge and its practical implementation in your daily routine.

Throughout the series, you’ll learn the different approaches of Maharishi AyurVeda, including Marma Therapy, Self-Pulse Reading, Diet and Nutrition, and Sthapatya-Veda.

By the end, you will have a deeper understanding of Ayurveda as the knowledge in oneself and have a basic knowledge of the different areas of Maharishi AyurVeda. This includes the knowledge of many simple, practical applications of Maharishi AyurVeda that you can implement immediately!

Session 1 Basic Concepts of Ayurveda; Man, Nature and the Cosmos are one 

  • Maharishi Ayurveda: Consciousness-based medicine
  • Therapeutic approaches and practical applications in daily life
  • The goals of Ayurveda and how to become a fully integrated personality, living and expressing one’s full potential
  • First steps in self-pulse reading: experiencing the qualities of the basic principles of Ayurveda in the pulse

Session 2 Diet and Nutrition – Healthy Eating is not primarily a matter of the Mind; it is a matter of the Heart

Dr Ernst Schrott is a physician specialising in naturopathy and homoeopathy and one of the most renowned Ayurvedic specialists in Germany and Europe. He is Vice President of the German Society of Ayurveda, Head of the German Academy of Ayurveda, and has written numerous bestsellers on Ayurveda.

Based on the knowledge of Marma Therapy as described in the ancient Ayurvedic texts, and on the profound principles which Maharishi Mahesh Yogi laid down in his Maharishi Vedic Science, Maharishi Marma Therapy, the Sukshma Marma® Concept, was developed by Dr Schrott.

In 2018, he became co-director of the Department of Ayurvedic Massage Therapy of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International, and he has been involved in a variety of courses at MERU for both medical professionals and the broader Transcendental Meditation community.

Requirements for attending the series

Everyone is welcome to join this online series. This series is great for those wanting a basic understanding of the different areas of Maharishi AyurVeda and learning how to apply simple techniques in daily life for better health and well-being.

Series schedule

Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, this series is postponed until further notice. We are still planning to offer the series and we expect to reschedule to some point in the first quarter of 2022. Registration for the series remains open.
The series will have six live online sessions total, with a duration of two hours each. Live sessions take place each second Thursday. Times shown are in the local time for the Netherlands.

Joining the workshop

Technical requirements to join are that you have a desktop, laptop, or mobile device that can access the internet. The workshop will be conducted by Zoom video conferencing software. Instructions for using Zoom, and login details for joining the workshop, will be provided before the workshop.

Once the workshop has finished, you will be able to catch up on sessions you may have missed, or review any session you would like to see again on our online platform for three months.
